Default G29 High Speed Gear & 22” Tires – Which Driven Clutch Spring?

Have a 2015 G29 with the original low speed gear, 22 inch wheels and the high torque (yellow) driven clutch spring.

I’m planning on installing the high speed gear set and would like to know what folks think about changing the driven clutch spring back to the original one.

What would be better?

Thanks

The color of the spring really doesn't mean anything unless you know exactly what spring you have.

Call Don at plowmanscarts.com. He'll get you what you need...

Putting high speed gears in a cart that is already lifted with bigger tires is generally not advisable with a stock engine, unless you drive it only on fairly flat ground and don't anticipate hauling "hefty" passengers, or pulling trailers. The bigger tires act as a gear increase in itself, and the combination will leave you with less than optimal pulling power. Of course, if you are planning on (or already have) a big block engine swap in mind, this may not be a concern.

Depending on what speeds you’re looking for Don may have suggestions of something that would make you happy with gaining power, to get that speed, instead of losing all the torque that comes with HS gears.
