Rear Leafs

We installed the dual action springs from Jason's, before with a load on the back seat the cart would occasionally bottom out even in mild terrain. After the conversion to the dual action it no longer would bottom and ride was stiffer but tolerable. Over all pleased.
We are lifting the cart over the winter and will see how the next season goes.

The "Dual-Action" springs are more commonly known as a 2-Stage spring.The upper part of the stack will support the vehichle and some weight,then when the load is enough,it will settle onto the lower part of the pack,which will carry the load.They ride real nice usually,loaded and empty.Most pickups use this setup,it works well.Hope this helps.

I have CPP's medium duty leafs!
I also added CPP's helper leafs with them.
(mostly to keep the rear lift height, but, also for help in the event I overload!)

You'd be amazed on how stiff these single leaf set ups are,
here's my easy comparison between the two:
(Test subject ~ 07 Lynx (DS), rear seat, 7" of lift, 25" tires, and me... 6'5", 200lbs)

3 leaf HD leafs:
Standing on the back step, and jumping up and down, it had 0 to maybe... 1/8" deflection.
(I had better suspension with my 25's aired to 8 psi and making them squat!)

Medium duty leafs:
doing the same thing, but with almost 1/2" deflection.

The mediums are still a bit "bone jarring" when going over speed bumps for example,
but nothing like the no suspension the HD leafs have!

A decision has been made, I went with the CPP Mediums. My cart is light use and won't be loaded down all too often, so I'm hoping these will work fine for me. I'll update when I get them installed.

I'd like to try the overload springs myself. I don't need XH springs 99% of the time and the ride with the ones that came with my All Sports lift SUCK! SUCK SUCK SUCK! Can't believe that's the best they can do. Will beat the $#!t out of you. They will get changed out eventually but right now I have other things to buy.

I just installed the following HD leaf springs from All Sports and they seem to work just fine, but I'm a newbie and I really don't have much to compare them to. I do, however, weigh a lot myself and I haul some decent weight (logs, etc.) on the back with my Cargo Caddie. So, they work for me, but they do ride a bit stiff.

Here lies the confusion,one is totally happy with HD springs,while another absolutely hates them.We need to come up with some baselines,such as:Stock cart,with flip-seat and ....spring,Lifted Cart,with flip-seat and ....spring.,etc...then we can finally narrow it down.I honestly think the HDs are best suited to a rear-seat ,dump,or flatbed equipped cart that hauls 4-adults or heavy loads often.Medium-duty,whether single or dual-stage seem to be the best "All-Around" spring,for general-use.Ill add as i come up with stuff,what do you guys think?

That's why I started this thread, when I searched I found many different opinions
