Replacing batteries, Code required?
Replacing all the batteries next week. I have a 09 EZ-Go RXV 48v. Is there a code that I need to preform before removing the batteries? One guy said with the Club Car you need to turn the switch on, press brake twice, etc.

Re: Replacing batteries, Code required?
The only thing i do before i unplug the batteries is to put the key on the OFF position and put the run/tow switch on tow.....

No codes/seceret tricks. You cant go wrong if you take a pic of the batteries & wiring with your phone or something to use for visual reference when putting it back together..

If you have a voltage reducer, depending on how it is wired in, you get a spark when you re-connect batts.

Re: Replacing batteries, Code required?
Thanks guys, I did everything y'all said to do. Put in Tow Mode, Took Pics & drew hard copy, no voltage reducer.
Will put batteries in today after finishing "Honey Do List". |

Re: Replacing batteries, Code required?
Got batteries installed & everything connected today. Did a test run & got 20 mph out of the cart which is normal. Good thing is the radio didn't cut off :)
Came home & connected charger to it for like 6 hours. Light showed full charge on charger so I unplugged for the evening & since I've got to work 12 hours both the next two day I just wanted to make sure. What do y'all recommend as to the way to charge new batteries? Thanks, Ronnie |

Re: Replacing batteries, Code required?
Charge them before first use after installing new batts. Charge them after every use. Lead batteries like to be kept full whenever you are not using them.

Re: Replacing batteries, Code required?
If charger is powerwise EQ, charger is designed to leave plugged in to cart and wall.
