Anyone upgrade their cart from resistor to Solid state?
I am in the middle of my project and I am need to see if anyone has upgraded their Marathon cart from resistor to solid state. As I have never done this I need to see a pic where you mounted the new electronics. Any help is appreciated.

Check with Scotty at carts unlimited. He has conversion kits and I'm sure they come with detail instructions. If not he will help you.

Re: Anyone upgrade their cart from resistor to Solid state?
I used Scotty conversion kit and upgraded my 36V resistor coil 1987 Marathon to 48v solid state. Runs great and has the little extra speed I was looking for. I also had to buy a new motor. The old one was in really bad shape. Down side - my brakes need attention. Now that it goes faster it does not stop as good.
I mounted the frame from the kit just like the instructions, put on new wires, and works as advertised. Quite happy with it! |
