Default charging problem

Well I just spent a good part of the day swapping out my OEM controller for scottyb's XCT400PDS controller. I was ready to hop on and take it for a spin and I got nothing. I checked my batteries and it read 35.2 and 5.8 on all them individually. So I went to put it on charge. I have an ezgo charger and all it did was blink green and red real fast then went out. So my question to you all is where do I start. All my batteries are full of water and I just purchased them back last fall. I have kept it hooked up to the charger all the time. So I'm at a loss here. I also went over all the install instructions twice along with reading the thread about the install. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like two problems.

1. Sounds like you have a Powerwise-QE charger. Attached is a list of fault codes and a picture of the best place for a PW-QE charger.

2. A XCT-PDS is pretty much Plug-n-Play (Electrically ), so you ought to be getting some sort of response from it at 35.8V. IE: four Green blinks (Programmed for ITS throttle) and then a Green blink followed by two Red blinks (Low battery - but depends on where the under voltage slider is set.)

Ok then I have more problems then. I'm not seeing any blinking light. Where is it located on the controller? Man I was hoping to get this guys moving today.

BTW: A XCT-PDS troubleshoots pretty much the same as a stock 36V PDS controller (Curtis 1206MX), but you do need the key on to get it to power up.

Ok I have gone over and gone over this and I see nothing wrong. I'm still getting nothing. I don't even have the led light lighting up. Man I hate wiring this kinda stuff. Gonna have to take a break and study the schematics a little more. It has to be something simple.

I might be able to help with charger issue.

If charger has no AC power-- status light flashes red/green for about 1~2 seconds then goes out.

check for tripped breaker or othe AC power issue to charger.

Ok I didn't think about something like that. That never crossed my mind that it could be a breaker. Heading down there right now.

Well it wasn't a breaker. I did however take the back of my charger and it looks like I have a small fuse blown in it. Should be an easy fix. I still have not gotten any power to the controller but there is always tomorrow. johnnieB can you send me a pic of your controller and solenoid so I can see if it's in my wiring? Thanks guys
