Will RXV be enough?
I am looking to purchase a golf cart. I have a hill behind my property going down to Lake about 30 yards but I would like to use it to traverse to save wear and tear on my knees. The hill is pretty steep ranging between 22 and 30% grade. I would likely only be making one or two trips up and down the hill four days a week. Some people have suggested I need a gas card to divorce that he'll regularly while others believe the EZ-GO RXV would be able to pull the hill. Most of the time there would only be one passenger in the car but on occasion there might be up to four. I would not require a lot of top and speed but I would require to work to be able to climb the hill. There is really not much room at the bottom of the hill to get up to speed before The grade. I would appreciate input from does more experienced with cart capabilities.
Thanks, Michael |

Re: Will RXV be enough?
Rxv will climb some serious hills, IF it is allowed some movement before hill gets steep. If you park on the steepest hills, you may need to back up and start at bottom (a "running start" is not needed). This is assuming stock size wheels & tires (or close). Offroad tires sap torque.

Re: Will RXV be enough?
The RXV is honestly the most powerful stock cart I have driven. It is really an amazing cart to drive

I could go across the hill before turning to go up. Would a few yards movement be enough? Thanks |

Re: Will RXV be enough?
A friend of mine has a new rxv. Big lift 14 wheels 22inch tires stock clutches I've seen it climb some really big steep hills that people have problems walking up without a walking stick or touching the ground that being said I have a modified Yamaha and won't go anywhere near that hill maybe you should look into a side by side be safe......

Re: Will RXV be enough?
Thanks for all the good information. Is there a way to change the gear ratio from stock ?(12:1) to (15:1 or 17:1) ? Do you feel that would improve climbing in my situation?
Thanks |
