Default Gear Noise Club Car DS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lte3pRPf6Gw

Not the greatest video but hopefully you all can hear what I'm talking about. When running at full throttle not under load the noise gets louder and shakes the cart. It also seems like its "missing" and not running at full speed. Any thoughts on what this might be and what is required to fix it? Thanks!

Thanks, 1997 48V DS

I just changed the the gear lube oil before this video. same problem.

When I bought this cart it was barely moving so I didnt notice the issue until I restored it and put new batteries in it. It clicks a little bit in reverse as well. What should be my top speed with the stock motor in this cart? it seems slow!!! good pickup then fizzles out.

I had a very similar, if not the exact, noise in the diff of a 99 DS and I currently have a 95 exhibiting the same noise as the 99 and your 97. If I recall correctly, the issue is caused by bad input shaft bearings on the transaxle

Never ended up fixing either. I have found it to be just an annoyance at the moment and haven't found it to cause any ill-effects

With the dull sound of the noise (not metal on metal) it almost sounds like a tire rubbing on something.
