In the last picture of the motor, I can just make out a S above the A1--Series.

Yes the 4 large cables on the motor tells us it is a series motor.

Well I'm planning on buying a new controller solenoid and FWD/rev switch in the next few weeks anyways so when I do maybe that will fix it.

You might benefit from a cable replacement too. Clean up the terminals while installing the new cables. This makes sense to change out at the same time as your other planned upgrades.


I don't think that will fix the problem, though. The sudden creeping sounds like either a MCOR issue or a controller to me.

About a week ago I pulled all the batteries and cables thoroughly clean and inspected all the terminals and cables. Replaced one cable lug. Everything is now very clean and tight with noimprovement. The mcor is brand new and still the symptoms are the same. I checked the micro switches to the best of my ability with no issues found. I'm thinking it's the controller as well.
