Controller Id?
Just bought a 1988 club car electric ds. Looks like the motor has been upgraded to a ge d379 but I can not find any numbers on the controller. Need help identifying. It's aluminum with a b with a circle on it. I will get a pic on as soon as I can upload it. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Controller Id?
Whatever it is, isn't stock. A 1988 DS didn't come with a controller at all. It looks like a Curtis, but without any numbers on it, it's gonna be hard to tell exactly which one it is. The sticker on the controller is a new one on me. I've never seen that logo before. Maybe someone else will chime in who has.

Re: Controller Id?
Just realized that is a buggies unlimited logo. Maybe a company made it for them. Now if only I can find out the specs.

Re: Controller Id?
I'm willing to bet it is an old Logisystems 480 amp control from the looks of the case

Re: Controller Id?
Thanks for your help.
So what kind of speed should I be looking at with a GE D379 motor if it were a 480 amp? I tested it this weekend and i could only get to about 12MPH. Im not looking to hit 20mph but from what I read I should be in the 14-16mph? I'd be happy with that speed. Im wondering where if any are my bottlenecks? PS Im running stock wheels. |
