They can be hard to find, I'd check the classifieds here on this site and also the clone swap section (aka Big Block Talk), you may find someone doing a clone swap who no longer needs their stock, running motor. Or you could look into a clone swap yourself. These motors were used in Club Car gas carts from 1984-1991. They are referred to as 341CC, FZ340, and KF-82.

Still looking? If you're interested, I've got a 91 flathead in pieces

Why is it in pieces? Did it blow up?

No idea. Bought a whole club car in pieces with the idea that I would rebuild it (all). Having limited automobile experience, running a working farm I wanted a machine I could learn on and apply those concepts to troubleshooting lawn mower, tractor, snowblower issues. Also, restoring/ modifying a golf cart that everyone would see and use would give me a great sense of accomplishment. As part of this I bought a hard copy of illustrated parts list and maintenance service manual. I think I'm 6 hours total just on front wheel/tire and suspension disassembly... can post pics if that would be helpful

Is there any damage to the block, specifically the area below where the starter-generator mounts? Damage may be more visible on the inside of the block, within the crankcase. There should also be visible damage to the connecting rod. A common failure with these motors is the connecting rod working loose from the crank and then banging against the inside of the engine block until it finally lets loose entirely. I have two such motors in my basement.

Red arrow is pointing to the damaged area:

Tried to reply with 8 photos and kept getting a "connecting to server" disappearing prompt. That said, no damage where you point so my assumption is the case is good. What appears to have damage is the cylinder skirt/ sleeve

Tried to add photos separately and connect to server nonsense... then I needed to wait 30 seconds between posts and at the time of writing this needed to wait 12 seconds. Happy to share photos however possible lol
