That black wire enters the loom on the correct location so it is most likely the correct wire.

It does not make any sense why it was connected that way unless it was by accident since it could not possibly have any beneficial function.

By the way, were the battery hold-downs removed for your first picture or are they missing?

Thanks guys...

Battery hold downs?...there are supposed to be battery hold downs???

They must have been removed prior to me buying. Any issues you see not having them?

Yep! Tip that thing on its side and you will be awash in battery acid. Good bumps can toss them around causing a short or worse.

PM me if you need a set. I just replaced my FLA pack with Lithium and don't need them anymore.

This is one reason why you need battery hold-downs.
This is a gasser but it applies to electrics.

That, right there is a sure sign of addiction. 1:30AM Friday night and you are working on your cart! Congratulations and welcome to the club!

Keep an eye on the OBC/Charger and your pack voltage. That was really strange how that wire was hooked up.
