Default 82 ds questions

A buddy of mine has a line on what they say is an 82 club car ds for a $100, from the pics he sent me it's not in too bad of shape. I want to build a hunting cart out of it, I will be going with a 48v conversion. My question is I know 82 was the one of the first years l, is there anything I need to be aware of or are they the same as the rest of the ds's? Do the early carts have the 10 spline motors or are they 16? Thanks guys

As far as I know, they are 10 spline. I may be wrong though. The DS has always been a great build platform.

Front cowl a little different, steering wheel. Maybe some of the front suspension/steering?

Never had one that old. Maybe somebody knows about some more differences.

And, $100 is a win, win situation - even if you don't use it for the build.

I guess I can't go wrong for a $100. Picking it up this week I'll post a few pics.
