Default What Tachometer & Speedometer are you Using on your Club Car

looking at the goodies from our vendors and supporters. Also looking at speeding up and tuning up my 2008 Club Car DS

saw this really cool Digital GPS Speedometer, has anyone used it or tested one ??

saw a matching Digital Tach/ Hour Meter

Look really easy to install and set up. Figure could mount them on the Dash and keep track of RPMs and Speed.

Both Runleader and Searon Tech sell them, seem to be the same specs part numbers, etc..., made in China :/

I installed the same tachometer on my Yamaha but in the engine compartment; originally, I wanted to have it on the dash but the cable cannot be so long...

was that on a stock length or on the extended in your avatar ??

they say a 1.5M cable or approx 4.9ft, have to see IF that is long enough for me or not !!

the Tiny Tach 2A has 6ft lead and can get it longer for $10 from factory, this is the one sold by CPP

...on the one in my avatar (Yamaha G15-A, 4 seater). I tried to extend their cable with different cables, including shielded but no way, the signal is too low.

1.5m is very short if you want to hide the cable and is definitely not enough even on a 2 seater.

It is still installed in the engine compartment (useful for maintenance) but finished with my own RPM sensor which is not much electronically difficult

Here is my setup.

The only thing different is I took my water temp gauge, and turned it into a oil temp gauge.....
