14hp Subaru efi motor. Max RPM's
Hey guys! What's the safe max RPM's for the 14hp efi Subaru engine.
3600rpm is max from factory. Curious what guys run them up to? I installed a tach and I'm reading around 4k at max speed. Thanks |

Question Brian, I bought a tachometer that has a configurable pulse setting and assume I need to get a signal off the ignition. Where did you hook your tachometer up to? I don't think I can simply wrap a wire around the spark plug wire to get a signal with this tach I have. Thanks!

Yes just wrap it around the plug wire. That's how I installed mine. I assume you have the 14hp subaru. What speed are you getting with it? Thanks
