Default '06 club car gas, hard starting

I replaced s/g, battery, + cable, starter solenoid and with a full charged battery it acts like it needs a compression release to start. Most of the time it will start but not the first or third time you press the gas. petal.

Your s/g belt may be too tight. loosen it just a bit. Too loose it will slip and too tight it will do as you describe.

I did loosen the belt it did help a bit. It is like hitting a dead stop. There is a sticker on the motor that reads (W/O ACR). I have to think the (CR) stands for compression release. This being a 06 you would think the compression would be down. Is the compression release something that could be salvaged from a old engine and put on mine?

What motor? Key start or pedal start?

Most common cause for slow cranking is low voltage or a poor ground connection. You replaced battery positive, did you replace the ground cable as well? Did you replace the cable from the solenoid to the Starter Gen? What about ground cable from starter gen to frame?
