Default 1991 club car seized motor options

Good morning,
Question for the motor junkies in the group. I have a 1991 Club car with the KF82 motor. Ran low on oil and stuck, not hard but enough to require a rebuild. The jug is fine, and main bearings too. The biggest problem is the rod seized to the crank, discoloring it around each side.( main bearings are fine) It does still move, but needs to be replaced. My question is do you think the crank will be ok with a good emery cleaning or is she NFG. this is just a standard duty golf card, no mods and gets light use around the yard and roads around my house. trying to go as cheap as possible, and was just thinking new piston, rings and connecting rod, wrist pins etc... or is this a good candidate for a predator swap. Any input would be great TIA

If you just want to get your stock motor back up and running, call Mark at J&M golf carts. I just rebuilt the motor in my '90 last month after a crank/rod seize. You'll send him your crank and he'll machine it to a new rod and send both items back to you and you put the motor back together. Cost is $165 (not including shipping, which you pay both ways). It ended up costing me right around $200 when the dust settled and my motor runs great again.

I wouldn't even try putting it back together without machine work. I tried that earlier this summer with my same motor. It ran for about a week and seized up again. That's when I called J&M.
