Lithium in the Phoenix heat?
We are snow birds and have a 2005 Precedent, that is in our garage year round.
The lead acid batteries don't like the 125-130 garage degree heat during the summer months. Has anybody had any experience with Lithium batteries being unused and kept on some sort of a charger during the hot Phoenix summers? Is that safe, they won't burn my house down? Thanks for your advise & help |

Re: Lithium in the Phoenix heat?
With Lithium, you don't have to leave them on a charger. Just disconnect the pack completely from everything and it won't self discharge. I have left mine four summers in Rio Verde. I leave it at about half charge (3.7V per cell) and disconnect everything. It was at the same voltage when I returned after 5 months. It was in my garage which gets very hot on summer days.

Nissan Leaf. I'm building a second cart now with newer Nissan Leaf batteries. I see your other home is in Loveland. I used to be a Snowbird from Longmont. I am now full time in Az.
