I have a new problem. I changed batteries and cables the cart has a lot of power after about one mile or so the cart starts to slow and then it will stop, turn off the key wait a few seconds and take off again after just a little ways it starts to slow and stop again. It is a 98 ezgo 36 volt. Thanks for everyones help.

Sounds like a controller failure? You have a DCS or series?

Sorry to say, but my bet is the controller. If it is, go with an Alltrax replacement. OEM new are too expensive and rebuilt controllers, well - I won't say what I think about them, but this works

How long has this been going on? Have you made any recent 'changes' to your cart?
