will not go in reverse

My club cart will @ times not go in reverse. What could be the problem? Thanks

Year, Model , voltage.

Perhaps a defective or loose or corroded F/R switch !

Do you mean that the cart will not move when the F/R switch is turned to 'R' and the GO pedal is pressed, or do you mean that the F/R switch will not physically move to 'R'?

It could be a micro switch or the F/R switch, but we need more information!

The F/R switch will move & buzz, but @ times the cart will not move My car is a 1999 48 volt Thanks

OK put cart on stands and scotch front wheels.

place cart in reverse and press accelerator, when yo get to the point where cart does not run in reverse , the pap the micro switches , if you hear an additional click and the tires start to spin, at this point then replace the inside defective Micro.
