Re: Club Car torgue/speed question from a new member
It will work. I think the easiest way to 48v is to replace the 6v batts with some 8 volts.... You won't need to modify the Trays or loose run time. And your 36v will hum right along on 48v with 30% (+-) more torque and speed

Re: Club Car torgue/speed question from a new member
Yeah, I"m going to put in the Alltrax 4845 and mzj solenoid for now. If I'm not happy with the performance, and I can get some 8v's cheap, I'll upgrade later. Right now, I can't swing $200 for a new charger and $700-800 for new batteries. My 6v's are brand new. That's why I was hoping to just add two.

then go for it
order a heavier solenoid to keep as spare so U won't be setting too long when/if you loose the main solenoid ! Let us know how it goes and how much of a change U see |

Add 2 in the bagwell. Don't forget the hold-downs and recharge them with a 12v charger like Gorno does

I love this forum already! I going to pick up our new/used cart on Friday and you've already answered at least half of the questions I would have had then.
