82 Club car only runs at full speed
I am putting together an 82 club car. all of the solenoids are working but when the first one clicks the cart goes at full power, not the normal increase with each solenoid coming on. Im not sure if the f&r switch is wired correct or the motor connections are correct, does anyone have a drawing for these?

Re: 82 Club car only runs at full speed
He will have to PM you, then you can PM back untill you have enough post to PM.
Did you test the other solenoids to see if they click? It might also be the coils. If they don't divert enough juice then the cart wont slow down. No resistance no slow, no solenoid fire no resistance. If they do energize when testing, it might be the accelerator switches not switching. (this was my problem but for master solenoid) http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...st-clicks.html pop the red top off the box and use fingers to press each of the 5 switches and listen for click. |

Re: 82 Club car only runs at full speed
All solenoids and micro switches are clicking. There should be no power to the first solenoid until the second one closes correct? Also does anyone know what wires go to the four motor posts?

Re: 82 Club car only runs at full speed
sounds like you need to move the #6 gauge white wire from the Buss Bar post on solenoid number 5 to the resistor coil post on solenoid number 5. It's either that, or solenoid 5 is stuck in the on position.

Its wired to the resistor side now. May be the number 5 solenoid is stuck closed. Do you know what motor posts take which wires
