For sure, thx David. Yeah, its a factory CC light kit. I like buying "original" as much that I can. Will be on the look out for your PM'r.

The factory light kit includes a relay that keeps the brake lights from turning on with the key off. It should already be hooked up this way. Is there not a relay behind your dash?

Nope, no relay. But I went ahead and ordered it and should get here today. This is why my brake light switch with timer did not work after I installed it under the floor panel. No power relay. Im glad to know that once I get this sucker in it would fix the brake light switch situation and also keep the lights from turning on when ignition is off. Thanks man, will keep you posted.

Just got the power relay and I still dont have any brake lights. Ahhhhhhh! The power relay has two small pins and two larger ones. Connected the corresponding wires (blue/white stripe, blue, orange and green) and nada. The brake light switch is already wired under the floor panel. Its pretty self explanatory but when i get back tonight I will check the connections. But I spent 3 hours trying to get the brake light to work last week so I doubt anything is out of order. Crap! I must have a bad switch or something under there. FYI, the brake kit I have installed is the one with the 30 sec timer and spring attatched to the brakes. Man! I thought that once I got the power relay in back of the dash erthing would work!! blaaaaahhhh!

30 second timer and spring attached? That's not factory. That sounds like a Stenten's kit. Does the relay click on and off with the key?

yeah the relay is clicking. The light kit is factory. Kit meaning CC original front and rear lights only. I went aftermarket with that light switch under the floor panel. Im about to open up the floor panel to check that out again. If everything is in order im going to have them resend me another one. Must be defective.

Just thought of something......... You must have a horn button plugged in for the brake lights to work.. Send me a pic of the dummy end of the light harness behind your dash... I'll tell you which wires to jump together.

Here are the two images. One is the female end of the harness. The other are the 8 wires leading to that end.
