Default Ride quality with HD rear leaf springs

I have the factory 2 leaf spring packs on my 2001 which has a rear seat. I was thinking about upgrading to the HD 4 leaf pack, but I am worried about the ride quality when riding single or with just the dog. On several occasions each year I will have the cart loaded with 4 grown adults and I notice it sags a bit in the rear in this condition, but I rather have the sag if the 4 leaf packs ride rough when empty. Can anyone comment on ride quality after installing rear HD leafs springs?

I also was curious if I could replace my 2 leaf rear spring with factory 3 leaf spring pack which come factory on the newer Ez-Go's. Would the 3 leaf be an intermediate between my stock 2 leaf and the HD 4 leaf?

Yes, and Yes

It will be stiffer with the 4 leaf springs when it is just you, but when you add four adults, then it will hold up well. If you add the 3 leafs they would be an offset to the 4 leaf but how often do you haul 4 adults? This is something you will need to consider. I have seen several 3 leafs carts and they seem to work well, I would rather go with the 4 leaf but ultimately the decision is yours. Good Luck

if you are worried about ride take about 5lbs of air out of the rear tires.

HD springs (4leaf) dont ride that bad. you will prob not even notice. IMO 3 leaf is not worth it. your cart will still sag with 2 adults on it.

Thanks for the info Courtesy Cart. After reading more about the HD springs, I think I am going to try them.
