79 ezgo carb question
I have a bv-18 carb on my cart. I have two questions. 1. Would a piece of gunk or dirt in the needle/seat cause the fuel filter to becime completely full? Its due for a cleaning/filter anyway. 2. Where can i find a rebuilt kit for this carb? I have a feeling its got dirt in it and needs cleaned. Im not trying to chase my tail on this. Fwiw i rebuilt the fuel pump about 4 months ago.

Re: 79 ezgo carb question
Well here is your repair kit
http://www.vintagegolfcartparts.com/...&cat=ezgo_fuel but at $63 I would rather get a new carburetor which you will find at ~$100 if you shop around. Dave |

Thanks dave! I saw that too and thought that was a little out of hand. I'll tear it apart and clean itt again with a pipe cleaner this time.

I took the carb apart and cleaned it with carb cleaner and compressed air. It runs good again. My fuel filter has never filled completly up before so i knew something got in the needle. Is it normal for the filter to fill all the way up with fuel? I didnt think those fuel pumps could pump that much.
