Default Gas ezgo problem

One day i was just taking a ride on the golf cart around the neighborhood and i had to press on the brakes hard. Now when i press on the gas it moves slow and when i press more it just rev's up. What is the problem?

I dont think so. But when i put it in neutral it rev's higher then it should and it never did that before.

Sounds like the brake-cables are hung-up.Make sure the brake-pedal is returning fully,if not,Go to the rear-axle,and lightly tap towards the front on the lever that the brake-cable is hooked to by each wheel. One of the cables(or both)are likely stuck. You can also grab the cables and flex them a little, sometimes they will pop loose.Hope this helps.

Ive looked at that its fine. But the rmps go high, could that be a transmission problem?

No transmission. The belt drives the rear-axle,unless you stripped a hub/axle spline.Have someone hit the gas,and see if the nut at the center of the rear-wheel hub is spinning.
