Default txt rear spring, bushing doesn't fit

I ordered a set of heavy duty rear springs from an ebay seller for my 2001 txt. The spring bushing hole is way too small for the rubber bushing, spacer and bolt to go through. Attached is a picture, the spring on the left is original and the hole is 15/16", the spring on the right only has a 3/4" hole, much too small for the stock rubber bushings.

Anyone run into this before?

personally I would have expected that.....seeing as how you got HD springs, they would be thicker.....thus the STOCK bushing would be bigger. since EZGO sells HD Springs, do they list a HD Bushing set?

No all bushings are the same. I have bought hd springs before and used stock bushings.

Then the only thing that makes sense is that the springs must be aftermarket and not OEM HD Springs.....thus could be made to a different spec.

They are not factory ezgo springs, they are reproductions. I just wondered if someone has ran into this before and what was the solution? As of now I plan on sending them back unless I can find out what they really are supposed to fit.

HMMMMMM, looking at the picture in the listing, it looks like they have bushings in them. - try sending the seller a note and ask them.

Does the bolt actually fit? If the bolt fits snugly, maybe you could use a rubber washer in lieu of the bushing? I don't remember if both ends need the bushing or just the shackle end does, since it's been a while since I did mine.

Just the bolt would be very sloppy. The bushings need to be there as they fill the width of the springs for the front and rear mounts. Without bushings the springs would slide left and right, hardly ideal at 35+ mph.

Unless the bolt fits tightly, my idea wouldn't work. I was suggesting cutting your bushings into washers, which would prevent side to side, but not up and down.

I crawled under mine and both ends of the springs use bushings. I knew the shackle ends did, but couldn't remember about the ends that connect to the bottom of the frame.

I'd return them.

I bought a cart once that had those same springs. I assumed they were for a club car or something but I don't know much about club cars so I'm not sure. Anyway the previous owner had cut a piece of water hose to use for bushings. Actually fit well and worked fine.
