Painting Question
Im using Duplicolor paint shop premixed color. I put 3 coats of color & there was some orange peal so I sanded with 1000 wet to get it smooth.
Do I have to polish out the minor scratches from sanding or do I just shoot the clear ? Thanks |

Re: Painting Question
I already shot the color, what im asking is after sanding the color can I just clear it or will the small sand scratches show through the clear?

Re: Painting Question
My experience says the scratches will probably show. Try 4000 to 6000 grit paper and wet sand it. Then, if the scratches are gone, (they should be), shoot the clear coat. You can use the different grits in a graduated fashion to reduce the probability of any scratches.
