Default 2008 RXV stock, help me outrun my electric cart buddies!!!

I have a 2008 RXV that has stock 18" tires and I am getting 14mph at WOT. I have adjusted the governor thanks to help from you guys. I am going to lift and put 23" tires. What kind of speeds should I see with the larger tires? I would like to be in the 25-30MPH range without sacrificing to much bottom end.

I am looking at the 6:1 gear set. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this upgrade. When installing is backlash adjustment needed?

Any advice or other options would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to outrun a few buddies with faster electric carts!!

With any high speed gears, you will lose torque. You'll lose a little with taller tires as well. So 6:1 gears with 23" tires will fly at top end(should be plenty over 30) buy it will take a while to get there. Do the lift and wheels first and see how you like that.

Thanks WGCS!! Does 14MPH sounds about right for stock at Wide Open Throttle? I thought it would be faster....

You have a Kawasaki drivetrain correct?
My 2015 Express ran 17mph on 22" tires off the showroom floor... I now have it doing 27mph after adjusting the governor.

14 does seem a little slow. How/where did you adjust the governor?

Yes, Kawasaki drivetrain.

I adjusted the governor according to the sticky thread. I am getting WOT, the throttle is opening to the throttle stop.

I'm gonna lift it and put 23" tires, hope fully that gets more speed out of it!!
