Gremlins haunting my cart
Hey guys,
Last week I posted that my cart wasn't charging properly. A few members chimed in with some helpful tips. While I was troubleshooting the different components, the cart started putting out 14.5 volts at the battery. I never was able to discover the problem. This week my cart just up and died. Wouldn't start. I started troubleshooting as per the service manual. Checked the ignition switch, good. Checked the microswitch, good. Checked the solenoid, problem. The voltage wasn't going from one post to another when the key was on and the pedal depressed. I thought I needed the solenoid. While I was cleaning up my mess, i decided to check the micro switch because it had four terminals not the two that different sites on the web were showing. While rechecking the micro switch, I wanted to see if I could make my cart a keyed start, the cart started. WTF. It's working fine now. This is very frustrating. What are your thoughts of the problem? |
