Default 1983 ezgo fuel pump not pumping

My 1983 ezgo quit running last year. I can't get it to run unless I spray carb cleaner into carb. My pressure in 90 psi. My "new" and old fuel pump is barley squirting fuel, just a dribble. I used some rtv on the gaskets and still no fix. New fuel lines and fuel filter. I'm gravity feeding the carb for now. Forward or reverse won't run either way while jacked up.
My reed valves are good.
My muffler is disconnected.
New spark plug.
Spark plug wire cut back
Oil Mix 128:1

I suspect it could be the crank seal. How do I check the vacuum?

I checked the crank seal and it feels like it's still in there.

Remove the fuel pump, put your finger over the hole where it bolted on, and the crank it over.

You should feel a good amount of pressure. If not, it's time for crankshaft seals.

I checked that. The best way I can describe it is that I can feel a good amount of air like blowing through a straw. I can hold the air from coming out. Maybe guessing about 1 or 2 psi?

Your first post is very ambiguous.

Have you had 2 separate fuel pumps on there?

Did you rebuild one?

Have you opened up your pump to see what is inside?

Where did you put the RTV?

Look at these pictures. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...fuel-pump.html

I had 2 separate oil pumps. Old fuel pump worked as good as the new fuel pump I just installed. I used some RTV on the gaskets and the stand off but not on the side where the pump mounts to. I did not get any over the hole.
I got my new carb today and installed it. The engine starts right up now, as before, it wouldn't start. Only problem now is when it gets up to rpm and the clutch starts to catch, it starts to die. I think it's because it's not getting enough gas to the float bowl.
So I think I will spray some carb cleaner on front and back seals while it's running to see if it revs up.

Not oil pumps, fuel pumps

Ok, it's starting to make sense now.

We have established that with a new pump, and carburetor, it will start up.
It has spark.
It won't make power under load.

90 psi of compression is getting towards the low side, but should still run without a problem.

My own personal belief is that the crankshaft seals are shot. Your mileage may vary.
