Re: 2 Different Electronic Component Hook Up&Wiring ??
Yup and the blue wire from the head unit tells the the amp when to turn on and when to turn off so when you flip your rocker switch off for the head unit that will tell the amp to turn off that's how they are wired in vehicles your big heavy gauge wire from amp to battery is always live

Re: 2 Different Electronic Component Hook Up&Wiring ??
Just a quick observation, the Radio (head Unit) "Constant power", typically yellow wire, carries all of the current needed to operate the radio.
When the radio is OFF, that wire also provides the power for the memory. The "switched power", typically red wire, carries very little current as it is only a "trigger" wire that instructs the head-unit to turn ON. |

I have the constant yellow going into the fuse block with a 10 amp fuse(to protect HU). So the red/switched wire has low current. ....so a small 12v 3amp rocker switch should suffice? |

Re: 2 Different Electronic Component Hook Up&Wiring ??
Serg is correct I miss understood your first question missed the head unit part and assumed you were talking only about turning on the amp

I think I have beat this into the ground and my head is kinda fried from looking at all these wires lately. So I have the 3-Pin Rocker. I run wire from the 12+ Pin to the Yellow constant wire and splice into it. Then I run wire from the ACC Pin to the Red wire and splice into it. Then I run wire from the ground an splice into it. And done. Or do I need to use a 2 Pin Rocker? |

Re: 2 Different Electronic Component Hook Up&Wiring ??
For 4.5VDC you can find tiny transformers on eBay. They only cost a couple of bucks. The one in the picture will convert 9 to 18vdc to about anything below what you put into it. You set output voltage with the brass screw on the blue box. Use a volt-ohm meter to set output to 4.5 and it will remain at that. Here is one on eBay that will produce your 4.5VDC at 3 amps. It's from China, so it will take awhile to get it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/12-24V-to-5...YAAOSwBahVMGPj
