Is There a Governor on my Cart??
I just bought a EZGO 2 cylinder 4 stroke. Not sure what year it is because the plate is missing but looking at the body style it looks to be around a 1996.
The problem I'm having is that, when I start out it moves very fast and peeks out. After it peeks out the power drops and the cart only moves about constant 8-10 mph. It feels as though there is some type of governor kicking in to control the speed of the engine. Any Thoughts?? Thanks |

Follow throttle cable from carb to transmission, there is the governor.

Re: Is There a Governor on my Cart??
Thanks. It was driving me crazy that it only went about 10mph. My older 89 2 stroke could run circles around it. LOL
