Sluggish Gas 2003 EZGO

My Cart is sluggish. Step on gas pedal and little happens. engine runs but takes forever to spool up enough to get it moving. Starts out moving slow then it takes off faster. Once its going it goes but hell getting it going. Tugging on the choke helps some. Sometimes it runs better when i pull the choke and leave it. Has little torq climbing a slope also. It has a rebuilt engine and a new Soleniod and battery. Before i start buying things I don't need does anyone have advice for me? Not sure it its related or not but i recently put in a new battery and after a few weeks if sitting undriven the battery is deal of close to it.

Should try in ezgo gas section. I would check the throttle cable and governor operation. Check the clutches for wear, the belt. You have to note if it is running or just the genrator turning it over. If its running and you gas it the cart will take off, if not running it wont.
