Default G2 Backfires when starting

I have seen other threads regarding backfiring
they dont seem to be the same issue Im experiencing

if I leave the cart in Neutral and apply a little choke the cart starts

if I put this in gear it back fires or sneezes out the carb when it starts it drives great around the yard. When you stop it back fires or sneezes to get going again
any help would be greatly appreciated

Check:
  1. the carb is well closed when you hear the click at the pedal;
  2. the intake is well closed/sealed. A good idea is even to add tie wrap(s) on the air filter box to keep it even tighter!

I know what your talking about. My G9 did this constantly. It was more of a hard start issue than anything. Just takes it a minute to get going. Never really bothered me, so I left it alone. Mine was tuned and everything adjusted. Just took it a minute to get going. It was old.

You can check valve adjustment but I'm betting it's like mine. Just old and needs a minute.
