Default G29 Blown Head Gasket

Smoked like crazy! Pulled head and blown head gasket. Replaced gasket and one head bolt hole needed helicoil. Its still smoking/using oil . Did the rings get damaged when the head gasket blew out or what??? I've only had it about a month so don't know much about history of cart. Any thoughts appreciated.

Change oil and add exactly one quart of oil and run it hard for a while and see if it clears up.....that said head bolts don't just strip by themselves I wonder if the previous owner was in there looking at things and didn't like what he saw so he tossed it back together and sold it stripping the threads in the process

It was probably that the previous owner had realized a leak in the head gasket and over-torqued the head bolt to try to rectify the leak thus stripping the threads. I did that once. Thank God for helicoils,
