G2 Overheated and started dieseling
I have an G2 but I don't have any idea what year the engine is. It was replaced by the previous owner about 10 years ago. My daughter was putting around my property and pulled up and stopped and the engine just kept running, when I lifted the seat you could tell it was hot. Turning the key off had no effect, so I know it was dieseling.
I let it cool overnight and tried it out. It started right up and took off but it won't run at a slow speed now. You have to press the pedal to get it to move. If you try and run at slow speed it just jerks on and off. At about half way down on the pedal it will run but then starts jerking and coughing like it is trying to backfire. If you pull the choke it acts a little better for a while but then floods out. Any ideas? |
