Did you get the throttle issue fixed? I got to thinking about it and I bet the throttle stop screw on the side of the carb is holding the plate open too far. Also that long arm should not be flexing in the middle. there are instructions in the tech threads that will tell you how to set the idle and fix the adjustments on the cable. Good luck

The throttle has seemed to be a very little bit better since the new fuel pump and me adjusting the valves to .004 cold.

yes sir it is, the pic on the left. back that out and just crack the plate open with the screw. The book will tell you how much and also will tell you the sequence to reset all the cables. etc.

Cool, cause that's what I adjusted. I tightened up the sloppy cable and adjusted everything else. Fingers crossed, I think that fixed everything. Don't see any fuel on the airbox and it seems my speed and throttle work together rather than just wide open or not at all.

Thanks for helping me they this!! Really do appreciate it

Good call, Cowboy - I didn't even think about the throttle stop because they're usually always cranked in all the way ...

It took me a while to realize that was what was happening. I remember years ago messing with mine and getting high idle rpms. Getting old sux!

Now that I've adjusted/fixed this issue I'm having another one. I'm sure it has something to do with the cables(I hope). It is real sluggish to get going sometimes. It runs great, but when I stop and try to take off again it's just barely moving no matter how much throttle is given.
