Unhappy Gas Ezgo running problems

My 86ezgo TXT stopped and I thought it was fuel problems so I replaced the fuel pump but no different, buggy will only run with the choke full on. Anyone suggest what I could check out to get the machine working properly.
Prior to this everything was spot on, Please Assist.

Check to see if you have fuel pulsing out of the supply line to the carb. Pull it off and turn the engine over while catching the fuel in a suitable container. If you do have flow, then I would pull the carb next and give it a good cleaning to see that it hasn't gotten any trash in it.

Hopefully it's just crap in the carburetor, but sudden like that sounds like a hard failure of the crankshaft seals, piston, or rings.

Yes Cart, that would be my next step after verifying good fuel flow into the cylinder..
