CC Precedent: $1,000 to spend...what would you do?
2017 Precedent, 6inch lift, 14 wheels and 22" tires.
Currently hits 19-20 with speed code 4. I have a $1,000 budget to boost speed/power. Considering the Bandit motor..... What would you do? (and yes I have read, and read and read thread after thread) |

Sorry to say for your first post it makes as much sense to me as a person walking into a car dealership with 40k and telling the salesperson to get him a vehicle.
Before you take all this great free advice on how to spend 1k shouldn’t you explain what you’re attempting to achieve, your terrain, plus the capacity you plan on pulling? That might be a very good starting place. Who knows maybe a much cheaper solution is out there, or just the opposite. 1K can’t give you what you want and you’ll be unhappy unless you spend more. |

You absolutely can't go wrong with the Alltrax XCT500 and a 2ga. cable set.

I assume if he was trying to save money he would just put the $1,000 back in his pocket
The XCT 500 would be a great foundation to start. Since the cart is only a few years old, don't replace any cables unless they are damaged. There is very little benefit in replacing good 6ga cables, perhaps the two cables from controller to the Motor if you do a lot of low speed crawling up hill or pulling a load. |

Re: CC Precedent: $1,000 to spend...what would you do?
An Alltrax 400 with will get you into the mid 20mph range with your stock motor.
But, like Out2Sea mentioned, how do you plan to use the cart? All asphalt and paved cart paths? Or going offroad in mud/sand/ tall grass and weeds? Is your area flat or hilly? Terrain makes a difference in what motor you'll end up with. You'll overheat and ruin a speed motor in mud/ offroad/ steep hills, running hunting trails. And a torque motor will be less than ideal if you're just driving flat paved streets all the time. |
