Won't run... no voltage @ key switch...
I would like to start off by saying thanks for such a great resource. I have poked around looking at the stickies and other threads for similar problems, the only problem is time. I am supposed to be taking this cart with us to the river this afternoon.
CART: 2000 EZGO Series 36V CHANGES: The only thing that changed from when the cart was operating correctly was an added 12v stereo and amplifier which is connected to 2 of the batteries to get required voltage. SYMPTOMS: While using the cart last time we had intermittent problems getting the cart to run. This was temporarily remedied by toggling the ignition switch from off to on several times. While this was happening I would get no solenoid click until it decided to go. No there is no amount of switch manipulation that will get it to go. TESTING: I have a fully charged battery pack and have used a hydrometer which indicated 1280 - 1300 on all cells and have 38.6v and 6.4v - 6.5v on individuals. I have performed ohm tests on the 3 microswitches, 2 F/R and 1 under floor. they all seem to work fine on open and close. I have jumped across the large terminals of the solenoid and still nothing. The only thing I have been able to find out is I have no voltage at the keyswitch. I have continuity checked both the green and the blue and to their respective locations the check good, keyswitch checks good as well. Sorry for the lengthy forst post, just trying to sum up what's going on. Thanks in advance for the help. Kevin |

roady89, the reed switch was indeed at least part of the problem. I now have solenoid actuation and reverse warning... Still no GO on the wheels though!
