New Lithium Batts, Cart stalls at full throttle
I just installed new lithium batteries, when I go full throttle, or accellerate heavily, the cart stalls, brakes and I have to turn key off and back on and then I am good again. It doesn't seem to lose charge at all and does not have this issue if I am not going fast.
Never had issue with old lead batteries. Thanks |

What kind of lithium setup do you have?
It sounds like is the kind that passes the current through the BMS and the BMS is not designed for golf cart usage. |

Re: New Lithium Batts, Cart stalls at full throttle
Parallel Lithium "packs" and not "cells" do have a possibility of cascading shutdown due to their overall lower impedance.
The current does not really divides evenly between each pack, depending on the difference of internal impedances one pack may handle virtually the entire load until it fails and drops off causing the next pack to also fail due to the sudden current demand. If You have an Alltrax controller or one that You can adjust the battery current, You need to lower it (The Motor Armature current can be as high as You motor can handle). On the Alltrax Controller lowering the "Throttle rate" also helps the motor to develop the top speed without excessive current consumption. |

I have a ACD controller. Not really familiar with the controller and if I need to upgrade it?

Maybe I need bigger cables? I used the cables from my old setup with 4 batteries and now I have 2(lithium).

Re: New Lithium Batts, Cart stalls at full throttle
You really should have at least 3 of those in there. Also test voltage under load on each battery. You did good buying the 48v parallel ones. Because if you stack 4 -12v together and just one battery fails it'll slam your cart to a stop and is dangerous in an rxv.
