Default Setup for off road :help:

Hi all, I have a 97 TXT DCS cart. I would like to use this for hunting and going through the woods. So I know I will need a lift and tires. I have been told the stock controller would not hold up to this. What controller would be best for this type use? I would prefer using the stock motor if possible. Also I might want to convert to 48V later down the road.

Is the block lift kits any good? What would the more expensive kits provide that the block lift wouldnt. Thanks.

On a lift, you get what you pay for: Stability, better longevity, ground clearance, tech support, peice of mind.......

As for controllers, I will wait for someone like Mike to come along and advise you on the best route.

Meanwhile.......search is your friend.....lots to read on both these topics.

Have fun !

The more expensive long travel lifts offer something the Block & Spindle lifts never can ..... improved suspension

As far as a conrtoller for your cart I would recommend a Alltrax DCX 400 or 500 they will handle 48 volts in the future

w/SCOTTY!!!

Spending big bucks on a 1997 DCS is questionable, though...

Well I bought the cart for only 200 bucks, so im not out much yet. But why is this such a bad choice if I am going to change the controller? Isnt the controller the weak point in a DCS cart anyway?
