Default what is this worth?

I found a cart on craigslist and decide to call the guy. He only lives about 35 mins from me. He told me the cart was a 2000 ezgo with newer batteries. when i got their and started looking at the cart which was in pretty good shape. the cart is only a 97 from the model number in the cubby hole (learned this from the site) and the batteries are 07 napa. I dont know alot about carts so i asume the cart is a dcs cause the lever is by your leg and it dont have a bar running to the F&R switch but the cart says freedom on the side of it. what does that mean? also is this cart worth $1500.00 Thanks for any help i can get ANDY

Just to let you know we sell 2006 electric PDS carts at $1900 and we can make money on them. Just my .02! I think you should look a little bit more. Well I shouldnt say that though! We are selling plane jane carts at that price. If the cart doesnt have any of the following then it isnt worth it..... lift, rear seat, light kit, then it isnt worth it.

I agree Radical is right, stay away and look a little longer to get your moneys worth and those NAPA batteries are junk.

well i took your advice i offered him 1000. he said nope he had to have 1500 and he said his cart was newer then that i told him to call around to places that sell them. i kinda felt he thought i was trying to lie to him about it to get a deal. so i am moving on looking for something else. thanks for all the advice, this site is great.
