I forgot to charge the cart last night and the power seemed low. I checked water level and put on automatic charge. Charger is putting out 10 amps.
When reading batteries with volt meter, they read 7 volts on each battery. When I read accross batteries ( 1st to last ) I expected to see over 36 volts. My reading is 20 volts. Is this normal due to resistance or do I have a problem in the system? Thanks in Advance ***Let me rephrase one sentence. When I read accross batteries ( connected in series ) I expected to see over 36 volts.*** All the batteries read over 7 volts, why do I get a reading of 20 volts when I check all the batteries by going on the pos. of no. 1 battery and neg. of no. 6 battery. I hope this makes more sense now. Thanks Last edited by 2003ezgoelectriccart; 03-10-2010 at 03:32 PM.. Reason: Try to make problems less confusing |

Re: Battery Voltage question
Let the charger finish charging then check your batteries, it will take about 10 hours or more.
