Default 1992 Marathon Question

just purchased 1992 marathon ez go cart. Solid State Controller.Charged batteries and tried it out.I turn the key switch on an put it in forward or reverse and the cart took off w/o touching the pedal.Any help with this problem.Thanks in advance

either you have a stuck micro (on the PB-1/16 pot box) or you have a solenoid welded shut.

lift the rear wheels, disconnect the activation wire on the solenoid and put the car in gear... if the wheels still turn, the solenoid is stuck, if not, then the micro on the pot is stuck.

solenoid stuck maybe? or the accelerator micro switch? has it been stored for a while?

Not sure how long it has sat.which wire do I take off,this is the first cart I have messed with.

Not sure how long it has sat,which wire on switch do I remove to check it.

sorry was out for a bit..

on the top of the solenoid, there should be 2 small wires. 1 is black, the other is either red, blue or yellow. Remove the non black wire....
