RXV Charge Time
I have a 2008 RXV (New to me) and this past weekend used it a lot Saturday and Sunday. I put the powerwise charger on it Sunday night for about 3 hours and it never did get to solid green. How long should it take to charge a RXV?

Re: RXV Charge Time
When you drive it for 15 minutes you should charge it, never run the pack down below 50% charge, and it can take up to 12 hours before fully charge, depends on how low you ran the pack down before charging it , usually around 6 hours to charge, the older the batteries the longer to charge, or the lower you drain the pack

Sites charging moto: if its parked its plugged. How much is a lot? That is an subjective statement. State of charge is what matters there is a graph running around here I see it all the time until I need it. Next time I see it I'm saving it. But find that chart and test your batteries with a Dvm or get a meter for your cart. Batteries should NEVER get below 50%soc and rarely less then 60% if you want longevity for your batteries.

Re: RXV Charge Time
Here are some battery charts I have saved. Primarily Trojan data but other brands of batteries would be similar.

Re: RXV Charge Time
I thought my Powerwise charger may be flaking out. I've seen so many bad comments about Powerwise chargers, they had me thinking I may have a bad charger and it was going to cook my battery pack but after reading it could take 6-12 hours I'm not as worried.
I installed a analog meter last week and it stays near the high green/full area. I thought the meter would be a good idea. It would drive me crazy driving around not knowing the state of charge. kernal, Thanks for the charts |
