If you run your cart through the woods and will hit any limbs or branches the plasti-dip is easier to repair or remove.
I had my top covered in Line-X. Cost a few $'s but that stuff is super tough and I don't have to worry about it ever getting chipped/scratched. |

So I went ahead and painted it black. Washed it , used a scuff bad then wax & grease remover then shot it with Rustoleum gloss black. BIG mistake peels rite off.

Mine is Krylon Fusion in Smoke Grey, maybe semigloss. It has been on there about 6 months and is holding up well. I try not to hit tree limbs, just minor brushing does not remove it. Cleaned the top well and sprayed it.
