Default 12v club car precedent goes then cuts out

I have a 04 club car Precedent that will run when petal is pressed but then suddenly cut out completely. If you keep the pedal pressed it may kick back in a go or I have to let off the pedal until solenoid clicks and then press the pedal again and it goes and cuts out again. It doesn’t do it all the time but is starting to show up more and more. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am new here and wanting to learn how to work on my cart myself. Thanks in advance and happy Friday to all.

It sounds like you may have a failing MCOR. The MCOR is the motor controller output regulator. It's a small black box mounted to the bottom of the accelerator pedal. There is an internal microswitch in the MCOR that can become intermittent and only work occasionally. Once it starts, it continues to get worse until it doesn't work at all. The correct MCOR replacement unit for your 2004 would be an MCOR2, part number 102528501. Buy a factory one, don't buy the China aftermarket one. You'll be right back where you started in no time.

Sorry if it is located on the site already but is there a way to test the MCOR?

Your MCOR is showing classic signs of failure.
