Default Yamaha Gas G29 Drive Primary Clutch Question

Noises coming from the primary clutch. At low speeds I can hear the weights clicking loudly. What's broken?

Probably flat spots in them.

The noise is like something loose rattling around in there. Very noticeable. Is there a fix?

Might be normal. Team yamaha clutches had 6 rollers inside that did not ride on a shaft, but lived/floated in two grooves.

I'd say it's time to take it off and pull it apart and check things out. Probably needs a good cleaning and a little lube at the least.

You won't know for sure what's wrong with it until you take a look.

better cross your fingers, close you eyes and look''''''' wd40 works well on the rollers. even a perfect clutch will make a little clacking noise.

Clutch was shot. Replaced with a Comet performance clutch. Runs/sounds great.

Sucks that the clutch was bad, but good that you found it and it's now like new again.
