'02 Gas - Popoises; rev limiter; backfires
Once again, the "Boy" and his friends have been abusing the '02 Club Car ==> #33. She's a fine food plotting machine, particularly after I fix her.
Currently, she "porpoises" when cold...jumps into her one and only TIP TOP speed...then falls in speed to zero...then repeats and repeats and repeats until the engine is warm. When warm she jumps into TIP TOP speed for 10-15 seconds and BACKFIRES if I am too slow to back off of the accelerator. She used to allow "feathered" speeds, intermediate speeds that assisted in staying below backfire speed when accelerated. I personally have not tinkered with the rev limiter nor zip tied her. Although I have not removed the fiberglass frame lately to see if the boy tinkered with her. I have read back 20 pages of 300 for current suggestions. I will keep reading. I am looking for suggestions, things to look for and check. Backfiring is BAD Juju. Thanks, Land Owner |
